Of 30 Rock, Changes and Pizza…

Much again is going on in my life as of late. Let us start simple. I have recently picked up watching 30 Rock, the NBC television show about 30 Rockefeller Plaza and all its inner workings. I must say… I love this show. Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey are geniuses, along with support from Tracy Morgan, Judah Freidlander and other SNL stars. I watched the two first seasons within a week and now must wait to catch the rest on Hulu, since I sleep during its regular air time. To quote the great Tracy Jordan… I love 30 Rock, “I want to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant!”

Now to get deeper. Changes. I recently have felt that its time for me to leave the “practical” and actually chase what my heart desires. I say this in relation to school. For the past two semesters, I have been pursuing a degree as a Business Management major. Though, I must say, I am decent at it, this is not what my heart desires. I desire more… much more. When I was in high school I wanted to be an artist, but I dropped that passion for practicality. I decided there would more money in business rather than in art so I packed up my dreams and put them on the shelf… for practicality. And now, I regret that decision, so I’ve decided I am going to pack up my practicality and pursue my passion. I plan on changing my major to an art major, I’m not sure what specific field, that is yet to be seen, but this is a change I need to make. I feel alive when I am engrossed in a art project… I feel like I am making a difference… making a change. It feels like it is part of me… like it ingrained into my very being. I am very excited to see what is to come of this… I’m sure there will be many updates on this subject.

And finally… Pizza… I am sad. How could you do this to me Dominos? You closed your doors for the night, and therefore closed the hopes of mine and James’ tummy’s being filled. Shame on you Dominos… Shame.

It is almost midnight here at Hess, I am well into working and have much more ahead of me. One of our third shift jobs is to load tapes into “the robot.” On average we load 100-130 tapes. Today around 5pm my brother, Jimmy, alerted me that we have 600 tapes… that is right… 600… You can imagine my joy that I actually have to work.

Here is a picture of the tapes… each box contains 60 tapes. ): I am sad.

Hello blog world!

I sit here in the commons of UCC awaiting my next class which does not come for another hour. What better to do than blog? I am surrounded by many different types of people from many different paths. So… crowded, yet so alone. What does one have to do to feel connected to humanity again?

I have a dilemma. I am discontent. Not with just one or two things, but with many things. I need a life change. I need to make new choices, new plans, new everything. I’m tired of the normal and ordinary. I hate feeling this way because I never want make that move because I feel I will just result back to who I was anyway. It all seems so meaningless. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way, am I? (Comments and discussion are welcome and in fact encouraged.)

Tomorrow I go to a shooting range with my father and my friend Castro. I am rather excited, I’ve been there once before, but was much younger and I don’t remember it much. Afterward, we will spend the day in Pennsylvania. Perhaps when I return I will blog about it. I have to get in the habit of not neglecting this here thing.

Joining the Blog Craze…

Hello World!
I tried this a long while ago, and it didn’t work, obviously because I am starting a new one! But as my brother Jimmy stated in his new blog, I have plenty of time on my hands from working the third shift at Hess.

Speaking of which, I just finished feeding the robot, which means my time is freed up until 5am. I am exhausted and can’t wait until I can get some sleep!

This will be a short first entry, but I am excited as to what will come. I have much on my mind as of late and I would love to see if the two people I know will respond back to my musings.
